Spoked Wheel Kits

Affordable spoked wheel kits, lightweight and sturdy, with sizes from 1 inch to 10 inch diameters. Sizes from 1 to 3 1/4 inches come with machined aluminum hubs. Now offered with new lightweight tires in soft black rubber, these wheels are finely detailed and light in weight.  Ideal for small free flight, peanut scale, and static display models.  
Larger diameters from 3 to 10 inches. These wheels feature CNC machined aluminum scale rims, CNC machined brass hubs, and are available in 40 spoke German / French or 64 spoked British patterns( other patterns on request). These wheels are easy to assemble with silver solder.  All wheels come with complete directions including illustrations, and an assembly templet for alignment during construction.  All wheel kits can be assembled in a variety of configurations suitable to your scale subject.
Large wheel kit options include natural gum tires (tan rubber) for an additional $12.00 per pair and laser etched side wall lettering and logos, priced by quotation only.

Instrument Detail Kits

Get authentic scale realism with AZM’s vintage cockpit instruments. Kits include laser precision etched brass, and hardwood parts. These instruments are extremely realistic and contain a movable artificial horizon, throttle controls, electrical switches, compass, turn and bank indicators and moveable dial indicators to provide realistic cockpit details at affordable prices. Kits come complete with illustrated directions and all parts necessary to build as shown (dashboard not included). As with our spoked wheel kits, our instrument kits are not difficult for the average modeler.

We can also laser cut hardwood, metal, or acrylic dash boards for your model. Send an exact sized drawing of the dash panel with the instrument locations shown. Standard price is $10,000 per panel plus shipping. Artwork set-up charges may apply.

Death From Above (The Old Fashioned Way)

Add the finishing touch to your favorite warbird. These guns incorporate the same brass, wood, and acrylic construction found in our instrument kits. The guns include brass ammunition*, feed belts or magazine hardware. The kits also have illustrated assembly directions including pictures of actual gun placements. The guns are offered in 1/6 through 1/3 scale sizes with other scales by special order.

Schwarzlose M7/12

Kit can be built in wing mount configuration or as shown or for a rear seater.  Kits come with 2 ammunition drum and brass ammunition.

Spandau 7.62 cal.

These kits come in pairs and feature feed and dump chutes with solid brass ammunition and a laser cut leather feed belt. Optional round counters are available for an addtional $10.00

7/8 Scale Vickers

Yes this gun really works. It fires blanks through a specially modified SKS rifle. We also can make a smaller version for your model. Kits come in pairs with feed and dump chutes 10 rounds of brass ammunition and a laser cut leather feed belt.

Vintage Engine Kits

Vintage engine kits are available for scratch builders.  These replicas, standard in our airplane kits, are available for purchase separately. Offered in scale sizes of 1/3, 1/4 and 1/6, these kits feature machined and laser cut parts for the highest level of detail available to the modeler.  Kit components are made from wood, acrylic, plastic, and metal. Assembly information includes detailed line drawings, and photographs of the actual engines.

This kit incldues documentation to assemble the engine in a variety of confiurations.

Beardmore

The Beardmore kit in 1/6 scale. Built by Jack McGeough, Dallas, Texas.

All engine kits are suitable for use in flying models or build them for a display. These engine kits are made from laser cut and milled parts and come with color assembly plans.
The Mercedes, Daimler, and Beardmore engines contain parts to build a complete engine as shown in the picture above. The 1/6 scale LeRhone is a plastic molded kit produced by Williams Brothers and is a complete engine with display stand included. The 1/4 and 1/3 scale LeRhone kits do not contain parts for the rear crankcase and carburetor assembly but are intended to mount on flying models.

With the addition of a propeller extension and bearing race these detailed replicas can be built to rotate.

110 hp LeRhone

1/12, 1/4 and 1/3 scale sizes are manufactured exclusively by Arizona Model Aircrafters. These kits are laser cut from basswood plywood and contain brass steel and aluminum parts.  These engines are very light in construction and can be made to rotate.

Ideal for small scale projects these new engines come with scale documentation like the larger scale versions and are designed for the instillation of electric drives inside the crankcase. These are new to our line and have not been prices as of this printing. Call for pricing.

Lozenge Camouflage

5 Color Lozenge and 3 Color Hex Patterns

Specialized silkscreen printing on shrinkable iron on covering material. Reproductions available in 1/6, 1/4 and 1/3 scale sizes for the 5 color and 1/4 scale in the hesagon fabric. These coverings are custom matched to pattern outlines using original color chips for color accuracy. The sheets come screened at 28 inches wide with the pattern repeating continuously. The fabric is now available for purchase by the foot.
