 | | | | UV-6 Fleet Finch | Description | The Fleet Biplane first came on the scene in 1928. It was one of
the few aircraft of its time that was not designed with military contracts in mind. It was also, to say the least, subject to change. By 1930 they were up to model 16B! Fleet Aircraft (Canada) of Windsor, Ontario produced over 600 Fleet Finches, the "Finch" doing nothing more than identifying it as Canadian built. The Canadian Air Force acquired 450 Fleet Fawns -once again the "Fawn" identifying it as military. It was the mainstay trainer until the Tiger Moth took over in the late 30's and early 40's. Another interesting quirk of the Fleet line was the tail feathers. It is difficult to find two the same! We show several on the plan for you to choose from. We also have available the all-weather canopy and the 1 decal set if you wish to convert your Finch to a Fawn. The original Fleet line all had flat bottom airfoils. We have given ours a semi-symmetrical one for enhanced aerobatic performance.

 | | | | UV-8 Norseman (7’) | Description | The Norseman was ideally suited for the Canadian north. Rugged, dependable, versatile, it quickly earned its niche in northern aviation. The full size Norseman is large for a single engine aircraft with a wingspan of just over 50 feet and a gross takeoff weight of
7,540lbs when equipped with floats. It cruising speed is a staggering 134mph! Takeoff can be a bit of a heart stopper for the first time passenger. Since the craft is reluctant to attain flying speed with both floats in the water, the prescribed method once you are on the step is to pop one float out of the water and continue on the other until sufficient flying speed has been attained. No point trying to tell your passengers during flight as the only thing between you and the engine is a
sheet of plywood! Second flight passengers almost always bring ear plugs. While doing our research for the Norseman project, we asked a retired Ontario Lands & Forests pilot if the knew the load limits for the Norseman. His reply was, “Hell, you just load it up, if it won’t take off, you take something out”. However, his closing comments were, “If I had to fly a foul weather rescue mission up north today and make damn sure I got back, give me a Norseman”. Our kit comes in two versions,
one for land operation, the other comes complete with floats. Conversion from one mode to the other takes about five minutes. Fiberglass cowl, formed windshield, machined parts, full size plans, step-by-step instructions, most hardware. | Package Price | $189.95 | Options | 40 1/2” Floats | $46.95 |

 | | | | UV-9 DHC-2 Beaver | Description | The deHavilland Beaver
is in all probability about the most recognized distinctively Canadian product. Over 1600 Beavers were produced by deHavilland and can be found world wide. With its squat square fuse and ironing board wings it is immediately recognized. It is renowned for its ability to haul heavy loads out of small lakes under the most adverse glassy water conditions. The 8 foot wingspan Beaver is powered by a Pratt & Whitney 450 hp Wasp and, as a seaplane, has a gross takeoff weight of 5,090 lbs.
Despite the fact that the last Beaver came off of the assembly line over 20 years ago (1947), it still outnumbers all other aircraft at virtually all northern airports. The Turbo Beaver is a reworked version of the standard Beaver although sitting side by side they are hard to recognize as sister ships. About the only thing common to the two of them are the wings and the horizontal stabilizer. The Turbo Beaver was designed for:
Charter and Airline operations, Forestry, Crop Service, Industrial Field Service, Oil Exploration, Oil Field Transport, Air Survey and Photography, Air Ambulance, Supply Drops, Search and Rescue, Police and coast guard duties --- the list is almost endless. Despite these claims to the aircrafts versatility, less than 60 were actually produced. Our Beaver kits are 1/6th scale. They are crafted directly from deHavilland plans. Fiberglass cowl, step-by-step instructions, and most
hardware. The windshield and cabin top are from one piece of moulded vinyl for ease in construction. The kits are set up for 5 channel operation, detail is included for the omission of the flaps for 4 channels. Both models are gentle flyers with very realistic scale flight performance. Any pilot who can fly a four channel trainer will have no problem with either one of these. | Package Price (Radial) | $199.95 | Package Price (Turbo) | $199.95 | Options | 40 1/2” Floats | $46.95 |
