Duna
This, plank on bulkhead, 1:40 scale model represents the type of steam tug which sailed the River Danube in the early 20th century. This style of tug has been operating on a daily basis right up to the present day, stopping only in winter due to the ice in some parts of the river making it difficult for them to sail. They were equipped with a triple expansion engine using fuel oil. Reaching a top speed of 17 knots, they delivered a power of up to 250 HP. These tugs have remained untouched by time due to the iron hull, stiff construction and proper maintenance works carried out by their crews.
